Hello #11: Blocks 'n' Shapes; Chapter 2

Hello #10: Blocks 'n' Shapes; Chapter I

Hello #9: Like Braile for Deaf People

Hello #8: WARNING!!!

So if hello is a pleasant greeting, given as a means of welcoming, and warning signs are the opposite of that, then this could be referred to as juxtaposition.

Hello #7: Blending; Chapter II

Poster: Helvetica the Movie

These are some posters I made for a screening of Helvetica: the Movie at my school. The signs are based of of airport signage (which commonly use helvetica) and were placed around our school with all arrows pointing towards the screening room. A friend of mine added the designer caricature for a touch of humor.

Hello #7: Topographic Greetings

A professor of mine has a Japanese map fetish. I have come to realize...I share this fetish. This is how I deal.

Hello #6: According to Google.com

Poster: Turn It Up!

This is a poster I made for personal decorative purposes. The line "Turn it Up" is from the cover of an album by the late J Dilla. If you like Hip Hop music, I strongly suggest you checkout this mans work.

Hello #4: Hello Robby

This one is pretty exemplary of the hello experiments. One morning, while waiting for a pizza to cook, a thought occurred: What if I made an image with multiples of myself spelling out hello? By the time my pizza was done, i had made this.

Hello #3: Going To Hollywood

Hello #2: Making and Breaking The Grid

These experiments were started by creating a grid and eliminating lines until letter forms began to emerge. I kept reducing the number of lines and therefore the legibility of the letters untill there was nothing left.

Hello #1: Blending

These were the first results from an ongoing project built around the word "hello". I use that one parameter as a jumping off point for whatever ideas I have at the time. These first experiments were started by blending gradients together to create odd letter forms, and eventually sprang off in a couple different directions.
